BRIEF HISTORY
Having obtained the approval of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the Institute for Library and Information Management (ILIM) was established on 1 July 1996 by the renowned professional and BCS Education Cadre officer Mr. S. M. Shamsuzzaman (1956–2020), with the aim of developing skilled library professionals in Bangladesh. In fact, ILIM was the first government-approved and National University–affiliated non-governmental institute for Library and Information Science education in the country. Cherishing his father’s legacy and devotion to ILIM, Mr. Md. Ridwanur Rahman—a creator of pyramidal poems and an independent researcher—founded ILIM Press on 29 April 2023. To be frank, ILIM Press is solely owned by Md. Ridwanur Rahman and has no official connection with the Institute for Library and Information Management (ILIM) by any means. Furthermore, ILIM Press is a non-commercial Bangladeshi publisher primarily dedicated to publishing eBooks. All books available on its website can be downloaded free of cost. The main purpose of this publishing platform is not only to promote its remarkable eBooks but also to provide valuable support for researchers.
